Several years ago my mother sold a home in Scarsdale and chose John to be her real estate agent. By way of disclosure, I am related to John. My first major decision in selling my home was whether John should be the agent to sell it.  Often, a family member representing a family client can be a very uncomfortable situation, particularly if the sale of a home does not go smoothly. John’s meticulous attention to detail, ability to listen and kind and patient demeanor would make him a natural for any undertaking. After my husband passed, I spent a year in Nassau County trying to get the cobwebs out of my head. It was now time to move forward. I would look for a rental in Queens. I turned to John even though he was a real estate agent in Westchester County because of his outstanding reputation. I told John that I would like a three bedroom apartment (preferably in a private house or garden apartment) in a desirable section of Queens, with a suburban feel, but the accoutrements of the city, near public transportation to Manhattan and easy access to highways. I explained that I did not want to spend more than $2500 per month, needed a parking spot/garage, updated kitchen, on premise washer and dryer and most importantly a rental that would not require me to take occupancy until six weeks after signing a lease, and not to have to be responsible for paying rent during that six week period since I would be out of the country for much of that time. Within a day's time of contacting John, he e-mailed me six rentals that met most of my requirements. After selecting four of the six rentals, John made arrangements for me to see all four properties the very next day. All four were in Bay Terrace, an attractive area of Bayside, Queens. When all was said and done by the end of the day, John had found me a lovely apartment that met all the above criteria at a rental price of $2050 per month. To say that I found an incredible real estate agent is truly an under-statement. Thank you so much, John. You really surpassed even my expectations of what I thought possible.
